Today is Erica's forty-forth birthday. It is supposed to be her second blossoming season, with a successful career and a seemingly desirable body. Despite the fabulous life on screen as a celebrity of sort, the only companion she has today are her "men-only" guy friend Richard and her attention-seeking widowed mom. Running tears behind people's back, Erica decides to go for something she has been yearning for years - a child. She tries to rekindle with her ex-husband; however his sperm has already been planted in another young lady's womb. After several unsuccessful attempts with casual acquaintances, Erica decides to turn to Richard for his sperm.
